Tute 15 - Finding and replacing data, creating filters.

1. Start Access and open the database we created in the last tute. If you did not compete the last tute you can download the database click here to download.

2. Open the 'main form' and goto the first record in the data set. Please select the field you would like to search. Press 'ctrl + f' to open the search dialog box, the match setting allows you to choose the search type, this is important if you only know part of the string you are searching for.

3. Choose 'Edit' > 'Replace' (or 'Ctrl + h').

4. Confirm the action, note this action is not reversible.

5. Open the main form & go into design mode. Press the filter button > filter by form and add the following as a filter to the date field >#01/04/99# And <#09/04/99#. You should end up with 34 records displayed only.
