Community Tute 08 - Find unmatched query wizard

Make a query to search for records that are in one table but not in the other

1. Start Access and open the database we created in the last tute, select the 'Queries' tab and then hit the 'New' button. If you did not compete the last tute you can download the database click here to download.

Select 'Find Unmatched Query Wizard'


2. Select the 'Main Table'.


3. Select the 'ImportData' table.


4. Link first name and name.


5. Add 'First Name' and 'ContactID' to the output.


6. Leave the defalt for the name.


7. The output tells us that the only record in the 'Main Table' that has no matching record in the 'Importdata' table is Name='Jo' CotactID = '4'.
