Community Tute 05 - Opening tables editing and printing

1. Start Access and open the database we created in the last tute, select the 'Tables' tab and the 'Main Table' object then hit the 'Open' button. If you did not compete the last tute you can download the database click here to download.

2. This is the data sheet view of the 'Main Table' where you can add, delete and modify records (data) in the main table of your database. There are currently no records in the table.

3. Now time to add some new records, put the cursor in the first row and type 'borax' for the first name, the '1' is automatically added and you cannot change this number, its a unique identifier for each record in the table.

4. Add the other data and look at a print preview.

5. The print is 4 pages for 2 records we need to fix that.

6. Change the page setup, so the page prints sideways.

7. Select the 'Page' tab and then change the 'Orientation' from 'Portrait' to 'Landscape' and set the margins to the image below and press 'OK'.

8. The table should now print on 2 A4 sheets, to print choose 'Print' from the 'File' menu.
